Start spreading the news, weeeee’re eating today. That’s right Brisbanites, put your stretchy pants on and work up one heck of a burger appetite, because 51st Street has brought you a little slice of the Big Apple in the CBD (because if there’s anything we love, it’s defs a supersized American dining opportunity). The new kid on the George Street block is here to fill our bellies and quench our thirst in true Manhattan style. Whether you’re channeling your inner Joey Tribbiani and want to tuck into a classic American burger with loaded cheese and bacon fries or feeling more Carrie Bradshaw and opt for a chicken and avocado street bowl (washed down with a Miss Daisy cocktail, of course), 51st Street is sure to hit the spot. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 51st Street is set to become an instant crowd favourite. Did we mention they do dessert too (whaaaat)? After you’ve finished your slow cooked beef brisket sandwich and washed it down with a tall glass of craft beer, be sure to try some of their house spun gelato topped with an assortment of decedent toppings – you won’t be sorry. And if none of that has you squealing in anticipation (what’s wrong with you?), the bar is fully and impressively stocked with an array of wines, craft beers, whiskeys and cocktails. It can be difficult to muster the strength to leave, so be prepared to tell your friends to ‘get oudda here!’ before they order a fourth serving of chicken wings. It’s easy to get carried away.
