Spring is knocking on the door but we aren’t ready to let go of our winter bods just yet!

All that glitters might not be gold – but Patina is worth its weight in it. This gem of a foodie destination is shining in just the right way when it open its doors August 23. Residing in the heritage-listed Customs House, there will be a strong focus on share plates including chargrilled octopus with smoked tomato and slow cooked lamb shoulder, alongside local wines.
Riverside favourites Stokehouse and StokeBar are their closing their doors on August 26! Dry those tears, and try not to panic – it’s making way for bigger and better things coming September 13, say hello to Q, your new best friend. Think small plates, live music sessions and signature cocktails like the Goodwill Rising – Don Julio Blanc, fig jam, ginger, pineapple shrub, lemon juice, lemon and vanilla sugar crisp. Don’t think Stokehouse is getting left out – it will also be undergoing a million-dollar facelift. Stay tuned for more news!
We might be heading towards spring, but there’s still time to indulge in some serious winter feasting! Art of the Palate is back to paint us an evening of decadence! Treasury Brisbane present an evening of luxe dining, wine tasting and the artwork of Karen Collins and Terri Vidler on Tuesday August 28. Tickets available here!

Get out of the big smoke for a taste of something a little freer spirited with the fifth annual Jungle Love Festival from November 29 – December 1. Held in a rainforest on the Sunshine Coast, the three day program involves a stellar line-up of local, Australian and international acts, as well as workshops, visual performances and progressive food options. Baysiders need to eat too, and luckily a food and wine festival is heading to Moreton Bay! Ready your body to eat, drink and party all weekend long with cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, pop-up bars and live entertainment on September 8-9. The Moreton Bay Food & Wine Festival will be hosted along the Redcliffe Parade, with stunning views of the bay in the background.
