We’re positively buzzing over barbecue plates, pinot noir parties, craft beers and too many espresso martinis because we’re not getting enough sleep due to our WILD EXCITEMENT over the latest foodie news!
We always knew that Westin is Bestin – and the brand new five-star Westin Brisbane is set to prove it. Set to open soon, the luxury Starwood Hotels property will be home to two brand new restaurant, the internationally inspired The Charles, alongside an unnamed modern Australian eatery, with Steve Sweetman behind the help as Executive Chef.
Merlo has been brewing up a whole different kind of buzz on Friday nights with the introduction of a bar to their Fortitude Valley store. From 5-8pm they will be serving up four signature cocktails, plus their collaboration beer with Fortitude Brewing – Pot Shot Ale.
Motion Dining is getting a glow up with the Brisbane Marriott restaurant reopening in September. The hotel will still offer Friday and Saturday night seafood buffets (yay!), but they’ll be bigger and better than ever. The super Sunday brunches will also feature more variety – so grab your gang and get hungry!
It’s been our long time watering hole of choice for as long as we’ve been sipping craft beers, and it’s about to get even more appealing with expansions planned. Brewski is adding a new dining area (so much more room to spread out your Big BBQ Plate), a specialised function space and an on-site bottle shop, there’s a very dangerous chance we might just set up home here.
