This Feb, we’re getting fed.

It’s an exciting time to be a Brisbane foodie, with all this cheese, wine and barbequed goodness coming our way… 

It’s no secret that cheese makes us melt and rosé makes us blush, and we’re beyond excited to hear that Welcome To Bowen Hills’ Rosé and Cheese Party is back for another year! The space will be transformed into a gooey wonderland on Saturday, February 22, with incredible local wines and cheese goodies up for grabs. 

You surely know Yoko Dining for its fresh, Japanese-inspired menu featuring that yuzu slushie cocktail, but did you know Yoko also houses a secret izakaya bar!? Helmed by local bartending legend Pez Collier, the izakaya-style bar upstairs at Yoko will be spinning vinyl and welcoming DJs Thursdays-Saturdays from 7pm. Late-night cocktails at Yoko? Hai!

Just when you thought you couldn’t love this luxe Asian spot any more, Donna Chang has announced it is now serving breakfast! Launching on Monday, February 10, the menu will be available from 6.30am to 10.30am, seven days a week, adding a “Donna twist” to some of your favourite early morning eats. 

Since starting out as a humble market stall food truck, Wing Fix has grown upwards and outwards into a bricks-and-mortar eatery in Morningside. With this southside hotspot continuously growing, it’s no surprise that Wing Fix is opening a second joint at nearby Coorparoo Square. In addition to Wing Fix’s perfectly naughty menu of juicy wings, sky-high burgers, and sides, the new Coorparoo location will see some decadent thick-shakes join the party, with flavours like Nutella and Reese’s Pieces. 

South Brissie locals (or those willing to drive across town for a good cuppa) were delivered a gift straight from the coffee gods when Cups on Melbourne arrived on Fish Lane. To celebrate their grand opening, enjoy a $1 coffee between 6am and 4pm this Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1, and taste the magic. 

Meat lovers, this one’s for you! East Brisbane’s delectable barbeque joint Smokey Moo is moving across town to Newstead’s Gasworks, upgrading the space and providing more hungry Brisbanites with even more beefy goodness. The new location is set to open in early March, so stay tuned!
