Beer might be the bubbles on everyone’s lips, but not for much longer with Brisbane’s first micro-winery set to open! City Winery is the brainchild of duo Dave Cush and Adam Penberthy and is utilising the micro-brewery model to bring wineries to the big city. Watch this space for news about the micro-winery, Gerler cellar door, restaurant, wine bar AND function space. They’re going to be busy!
Feel like you’d be happier if you were healthier? Liv-eat agree, and are opening their first Queensland restaurant later this month. Moving north for the winter from Tasmania, the newest restaurant will be popping up at Surfer’s Paradise and dishing up breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6am for hungry beach bums.
Wine is proving to be flavour of the month (year…. decade…. century?) in Brisbane withOTTO launching their 2018 Wine Dinner Series. Collaborating with Australian and New Zealand wine makers, the intimate dining experiences will feature guest winemakers and OTTO Sommelier Alan Hunter. See here for more details!
Malt Dining isn’t being left out in the cold, teaming up with boutique producers Izway Wines for a for course course degustation in the historic Attic on August 30. The red-only small batch winemakers are sure to warm you up, tickets available here.
Combining the finest things in life, the latest instalment of the Treasury Brisbane’s Art of the Palate features art from Brisbane portrait artist Louise Saunders, wine from renown Robert Oatley Wines and well as a four-course modern Australian menu. We’ll be feasting July 24 – get tickets here!
