West End’s sick of the Valley hogging all the laneways so it’s opening its own! West Village is going continental with bites from Salt Meats Cheese, Gelato Messina and coffee and pastries from Montrachet Boulangerie popping up in Laneway WV from July 3rd.

Feeling grouchy without your coffee fix? Gramps Cafe feels you, which is why it’s coming to Red Hill. The suburban café will be dishing up brunch eats, house made goods and expertly made coffee. Stay tuned for an opening date!

The basement level of Fortitude Valley motorcycle garage Smoked Garage has been transformed into a café showroom! Customers can chill on cushy antique furniture amongst bikes and racks of apparel, snack on sweets and knock back Brewtown Coffee. There’s more to come with a kitchen, bar and upstairs event space being added to the garage – look out revheads!


Twilight dining is heading to Oracle Boulevard this July with the long table event Twilight Taste popping up in Broadbeach. For $225 enjoy a five-course share plate menu from Mecca Bah, Mamasen Kitchen & Bar, The Cuban, Bavarian Bier Café and Social Eating House and a glass of wine. Grab your tickets here!

Ooh la la! The Brisbane French Theatre opens its curtains July 16 with the romantic comedy ‘Hélas Avril’ – Alas, April. Sip on Cremant as you snack on canapes and cassoulet, surrounded by fellow thespians, Francophiles and theatre enthusiasts. Tickets available here.
