Having mastered the art of hosting unique private events, West Village’s The Bromley Room #2 is continuing its creative streak with two of Brisbane’s leading chefs and caterers stepping onto the venue’s pristine culinary scene. The names set to ring a bell are Alastair McLeod and William Wallace, both having impacted Brisbane’s dining scene for the better with years of experience and commendation under their award-winning belts. Along with their exclusive catering teams, these legends cook up quite a storm that’ll leave your guests longing for more.

Take a walk on the sunny side (up). The brilliant owners of West End staple, Morning After, have a new breakfast spot in the works. Yolk will reportedly focus on the signature bacon and egg rolls made famous by the mother of all morning venues, and we can’t wait to see what else they have in store! Tacky Tex-Mex can get the heck out to make way for La Diosa Mexicana. Newly opened in Surfers Paradise, the Mexican restaurant and bar has been serving up sizzling Mexican feasts and salt-crusted margaritas on the regular. With a clean, modern, resort-style fit-out featuring an array of indoor and al fresco seating options, La Diosa Mexicana is not your typical tex-mex eatery. Get some.

Make way for gelato royalty, because La Macelleria Gelateria has opened its fourth store on King Street! The Bowen Hills foodie hub is now sweeter than ever, with new fun flavours lined up (including vegan options that aren’t sorbet), and you’ll want to hang around for a very special (and delicious) announcement later today…

Salt Meats Cheese is making its way to South Bank! Set to open in Mantra later this month, you can expect all your favourite pizza, pasta and antipasti on the menu, but you better brace yourself for an all-new breakfast buffet experience! Think grazing-style with a balance of Italian-inspired gourmet bites and healthy grab-and-go options. Mamma Mia.

Happy happy Joy joy. We’re thrilled to confirm that Joy is set to open its restaurant on March 22, a with Japanese-inspired service style and Australian-fusion dishes. Prepare to become acquainted with confit cuttlefish with zucchini and herbs and seared scallops with corn milk, sour pumpkin, quinoa and kaffir lime as a taste of what to find across two available menus. You can run, but you can also Hyde Paradiso. This soon-to-open GC banger will be pieced together by celeb fave hospitality group, sbe, operating as a restaurant, bar and party place. From share-style cocktails in a singular glass that’s big enough for eight people to a colourful, boujie restaurant, Hyde is going to be one monstrous game changer. Stay tuned for an opening date mate.

We know you’ve heard about Corella (here, thanks to us) but what you might not know is that it’s opening this Thursday! Mark it in your calendar and get ready for all the pressed duck with lentil salad you can handle.



I can fit my whole face on my coffee, wanna see? Woolloongabba’s PawPaw Café has installed a Ripples printing machine, which prints images and photos on your cup of Joe by using coffee pods as cartridges… and a whole lot of technical magic or something. If you want a free cup of the stuff to jazz up your Instagram feed, head to PawPaw on March 18 between 7am and 3pm to land one with any purchase.

Guess who’s back, back again. Beer InCider is back, rally your friends. Announced only days after their March experience wrapped up, Beer InCider will merrily be making its way back to Brisbane Showgrounds across two huge days this September 20-21.
