It happens every year, so why is New Year's Eve so exciting!?

We know that nothing is going to magically happen between 11.59 and 12, but every year we find ourselves tearing our hair out trying to figure out how to celebrate without falling victim to FOMO.

We’ve rounded up some of the Brisbane’s biggest New Year’s Eve parties and venues to get you feeling in the new year spirit quicker than you can say “new year, new me!”

Regatta Hotel | Toowong

The hustle and bustle of Times Square in New York has its sights set on The Regatta Hotel this NYE! From 8pm, party as they do in the city that never sleeps and channel your inner socialite while sipping on a four-hour premium beverage package including cocktails, spirits, wine and 35 different beers. As for food, it will be served #streetstyle – would New Yorkers have it any other way? There will be a New York deli and pizzeria, as well as an endless stack of loaded waffles for guests to indulge in. Live bands and a DJ will be pumping good vibes and music across all three levels, creating the party of the year. Suit up and embrace the concrete jungle for one night and live that Sex and the City life you’ve dreamed of! This event sold out last year, so we know for a fact that tickets won’t last long and this year’s event will be a full house too- get your tickets here!

Victoria Park  | Herston

Celebrate with a Mignight in Paris themed NYE party at Vic Park this December 31! Picture Parisian decor, romantic lights, and decadent French cuisine followed by an extravagant party to remember! Tickets include a five-hour food and beverage package with a tres chic range of sparkling, wines, beers and ciders. Parisian-inspired canapés and food stations featuring all our favourite French foodie treats (cheese, bread, and desserts of course!) will also be on offer for guests to devour. A live band and dance floor will be in full swing, with Parisian performers making the rounds and dedicated photo areas to make all your Insta dreams come true! Of course, no NYE would be complete without fireworks and it wouldn’t be Midnight in Paris without them appearing in the classic French tricolore. Evening gowns and tuxedos are encouraged, so get ready to say au revoir to 2018 in style! Get your tickets here.

The Charming Squire | South Brisbane

Prince Charming is about to sweep you off your feet and carry you into the New Year; you sure won’t have to be home by midnight, but you might still end up losing a shoe (worth). Start your night right with a mouth-watering five-course dinner from 7pm at The Charming Squire, complete with four hours of James Squire beers and cider, specialty cocktails, premium sparkling, and white and red wines. If that sounds like a mouthful, that’s because it is, and you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. When the clock strikes 11:30pm, you’ll have the option to take a stroll to Wheel of Brisbane at South Bank, where you’ll board a pod and watch the fireworks sky-high with a glass of sparkling in hand. If you’re more of a down to earth celebrator, stay at the Squire, join in the countdown, and dance your way into 2019. Either way, you’ll be living your best life, starting by getting a ticket here.
