Classy as always, Garden Kitchen & Bar at The Star is putting on an event that will have you filly-ing good! Kicking off at 11am, enjoy a 3-course set menu and beverage package. The fun doesn’t stop there – with screens to view the race, sweepstakes, special guest appearances, entertainment ,and access to festivities on The Lawn, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy. The Island Rooftop and Bar | Surfers Paradise
If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that The Island can throw one hell of a party! They’re outdoing themselves this year, and are holding two Melbourne Cup events! Set over three fabulous levels, a dazzling array of fashion, food, drinks and live entertainment will be on offer. With your choice of the Cocktail Party or Gala Luncheon, there’s something to suit every taste. Both events will offer Fashions on the Field (so dress to impress!), prizes, sweepstakes, live entertainment, and big screens to watch all the action.
The Cocktail Party includes three hours of deluxe canapes and drinks and is $99 + booking fee, while the more decadent Gala Luncheon will be held in the Island Penthouse, offering sweeping views of Surfers Paradise. Expect canapes on arrival, a three-course luncheon, and athree-and-a-half-hour beverage package featuring Mumm Grand Cordon. Bazaar | Surfers Paradise
Bazaar is getting all swanky this year with their famed Bazaar Interactive Marketplace, so prepare to kick-up those pretty heels for a classic Melbourne Cup Lunch (complete with oodles and oodles of champagne). Featuring an all-inclusive afternoon of fine food and drinks, a live stream from Flemington racetrack and gigantic sweepstakes, you’ll be onto a winner one way or the other. Of course, a best dressed competition will run, and we’re guessing the prizes will be epic! For those keen to party into the night, Stingray Lounge promises to keep the party vibes sky high. Rosé at the Races is taking over QT’s Stingray Lounge, where the adjacent outdoor pool terrace and will be the best place to don your brightest frock and loudest fascinator and pose for the thousands of selfies we know you’re going to take! Mumm Rosé Champagne will be offered on arrival to get the party started, leading into three hours of premium food and drinks, a luxe caviar station, ‘gram-worthy floral backdrops, and the Coast’s most glamorous crowd! Ristorante Fellini | Main Beach
Fellini is known for putting on a spread, so why should Melbourne Cup be any exception? The menu looks divine – for just $75 each guest will be treated to a four-course lunch with complimentary prosecco on arrival! On the menu this year is a mixed entrée including arancini and Caprese salad, and mains like crispy skin salmon in a cherry tomato sauce or mouth-watering thyme and sea salt crusted lamb rack with potato purée. Following the amazing smorgasbord, you can enjoy the races live on big screens, and fashion parades and sweepstakes throughout the afternoon with views out to the beautiful Southport Broadwater. Hideaway Kitchen and Bar | Broadbeach
Citing popular demand as the reason for its return, we are neigh-ly positive this will be a day to remember! Melbourne Cup on the Green at Hideaway will provide guests with a four-hour drinks package and four hours of Asian street food canapes, as well as sweepstakes, raffles, fashions on the field and live music. Bookings are essential – we’re not horsing around! Doors open at 11am and tickets are $125 all-inclusive.
Hilton | Surfers Paradise
Saddle up, because Hilton Surfers Paradise will be dishing up a winning lunch with a delectable menu carefully balanced with smooth whiskey pairings. Hilton’s signature restaurant, Catch, will be the place to be, with guests treated on arrival to a fresh oyster bar and an Old Fashioned. With live music from the Bogus Bookies, guests will savour the day’s main course of chargrilled wagyu striploin with dukkah carrots, and asparagus, coated in a pepper jus. For dessert, indulge in a Willow Creek double brie, fig, orange and tarragon cigar (and let’s not forget those tipples of whiskey which will accompany both courses!). The Collective | Palm Beach
The Collective Palm Beach are on fleek this year, and are tipped for the win! All the action from Flemington will be streamed live, fashions on the field will be in full swing, and live music by Flipside will be sure to have the crowd feeling lively. For $85 per person you’ll score yourself a four-course lunch with a drink on arrival. Keep it low-key, or upgrade your day with your choice of drinks packages, from $60 per person. The Arc | Nobby Beach
Showcasing their first Melbourne Cup, The Arc is promising a good time! Tickets are just $49.95 and include a three-course lunch with a complimentary cocktail (yaaas!). Their front area will be transformed into a decadent and exclusive Melbourne Cup lawn area and yes, there will be plenty of lawn games for punters to enjoy. Following the race, Scottish Voodoo will be providing music until the venue’s resident DJ hits the decks. There will also be two $500 prize packs for Best Dressed Male (including clothes from Culture Kings and Asahi cans) and Best Dressed Female (Mimco merchandise, French Champagne, and hair products).
