Wednesday July 16 For one night only, Public is going paleo, dishing up a five-course banquet of grain-free, dairy-free dishes matched with caveman-friendly drinks (or something a bit stronger, if you’re not quite so against gluten). Thursday July 17 You’ll be able to afford to bar hop all night for Good Food Month with deals like Lychee Lounge’s Red Snapper cocktail, paired with an American-style Wagyu burger, and a side of fries for the small change of $20. Friday July 18 Noodle enthusiasts unite! Good Food Month and stall holders from all around Brisbane have come together to bring you the biggest event in Asian-influenced food we have ever experienced. Saturday July 19 Regional Flavours will be kicking off with a fleet of food trucks and your favourite South Bank restaurants are about to burst from the confines of their brick and mortar shops, strap on some wheels and hawk special menus along Little Stanley Street. Sunday July 20 Regional Flavours continues at River Quay and pop-up marquees give way to live music, South Bank’s best fine dining and some of the city’s most stunning river views. Don’t fret that this will be the exxy end of the street – resident venues such as Cove are offering $8 menu items, from spiced mojitos to piles of Szechuan calamari. Monday July 21 Forget your Monday woes (and how much longer you have to go until the weekend), and spend an evening of ultimate indulgence at The Gresham. They are holding a Whiskey appreciation night hosted by Irish expert Ailbhe Garrihy, where you will learn all there is to know about the Jameson Irish Whiskey range. Tuesday July 22 Six course in an underground cellar? Yes, we are okay with that. Six courses that showcase some of Queensland’s best seasonal produce? We are okay with that too. Book your tickets to Malt Dining’s, Good Food Month degustation here. Wednesday July 23 The team at Moda pride themselves on making everything from scratch, and it definitely shows. Head chef Javier Codina has excellent relationships with the growers and suppliers of fresh local produce. He visits the markets before dawn to personally select the ingredients to fuel his daily inspiration. Thursday July 24 They’re the wildly popular new kids on the block, but it kind of feels like they’ve been there forever (in the best possible way). Head down to Kwan Brothers for their Good Food Month special of ginger tiger prawns, green rice flakes, and nahm jim. Friday July 25 Now don’t get us wrong, there isn’t anything terribly wrong with spinach and feta puff pastries from the freezer section of your local supermarket. There also isn’t anything particularly right with them either. So if you are tired of breaking out these bad boys everytime you have company, then a canapé cooking class might just be the thing you’ve been waiting for. Saturday July 26 Celebrating the work of ceramic artist, Sarah Sheppard, Wasabi has planned a five course degustation with each course to be plated on pieces created in collaboration Sarah. All pieces are available to purchase on the night. Sunday July 27 Good Food Month’s city-wide bar hop is nearing an end. So get down to Dutch Courage and try their $20 gin cocktail and tapas offering of Tanqueray gin, St Germain elderflower, yellow chartreuse, egg white, chamomile flowers; with cayenne and black pepper calamari.
