We all know your morning pick-me-up is essential to your productivity, but to bring the feel good factor up a notch, 20 cents from each cup of Miss Bliss’ organic coffees is donated to charity to help children in need. Last month, $938 was donated to Paradise 4 Kids, a charity that helps feed, educate and clothe children in poverty. So next time you’re headed out for your morning brew, pick up a cup for a cause from Miss Bliss for a truly good start to your day. Tuesday 1 Green Beacon Brewing in Teneriffe have food trucks lined up with delicious street eats to go with their brews every night of the week. On Tuesdays, it’s Pizzanticas turn, with hot, cheesy, Napoli style pizzas coming out of their wood-fired oven. Grab a classic margherita or a spicy pepperoni and pair it with a pint for $20. Wednesday 2 If the name of Zeus Street Greek’s new lunch box option doesn’t get you excited because of all the possibilities for yelling ‘This is Sparta!’ as you wolf down delicious Greek eats, what’s inside definitely will. The Spartan Lunch box includes paleo-friendly roast chicken, lamb or pork served with a heaping of Aegean slaw and rice pilaf. Incredibly satisfying and perfect for all the paleo and primal eating peeps out there! Thursday 3 The jaw-dropping views from Mt Cootha are more than just a photo opportunity, they’re the perfect backdrop to a Sunset Dinner at the Summit Restaurant. For $39.95 per person from 5-7pm, you can indulge in 3 courses of their a la carte fare. Start with an entree plate of warm ciabatta, soup, spiced pork spring rolls and zucchini and sweet corn fritters, then as the sun sets in front of you, tuck into Atlantic salmon, pan-fried potato gnocchi or grilled Moroccan chicken, each with their own delicious sides. Before the sun melts away, finish on a sweet note with a chocolate fudge ice cream sandwich. Friday 4 Taco Tuesday won’t be enough this week, you’ll need to spend a few days eating your way through the two new Mexican eateries in town! New Californian eatery, St Baxter, has got weekend breakfasts covered, as well as plenty of margaritas, while for a tapas feast, complete with dessert quesadillas, Sin Vida has a Day of the Dead themed menu that will have you saying ‘Ole!’ Saturday 5 Taking over The Shafston Hotel’s laneways, Hops and Vines is set to be a street festival of epic proportions, featuring a whole lot of brews, sips, food trucks and tunes. Welcome spring and line your stomach with wood-fired pizzas and creamy cheese and follow through with craft wines and brews. $10 tickets to the event include a take home wine glass and two wine tastings, and if you’re not much of a wine lover, the likes of Newstead Brewing Co, Green Beacon, Fortitude Brewing and James Squire will quench your thirst instead.
