New Year’s Resolutions can still be applicable nine months in, right? We would have started our diets sooner, but we were just so preoccupied with not wanting to.

Before we reschedule our health cleanse to next month, we’re giving August the send-off it deserves – so we can just rinse and repeat our indulgent eating habits come September. Stay tuned, here’s what’s happening this week.

Newstead’s Nodo has appeased the masses with the addition of even more tasty eats and brunch table service! Alongside extensive renovations, you can grab a bite or two from their new spring menu.

New Menu | OLE

OLE is breaking barriers (literally) with their recently completed renovations. As well as the removal of internal walls and the addition of an open central bar, this Spanish eatery has made a few changes to their menu, offering new Spanish flavours come spring.

High Tea With a Quintessential W Twist | W Hotel

If you’ve ever found yourself enjoying a meat pie and just wishing it was slightly more sophisticated, we’ve got news for you. W Hotel has just given your Aussie faves a makeover as part of their High Tea With a Quintessential W Twist, taking lamingtons, pies and milo and transforming them into decadent treats.

Mad Asian Kitchen and Bar | The Kitchens

We’re going out of our minds with the opening of Robina Town Centre’s latest contemporary Asian eatery. With a funky atmosphere and fantastic menu to match, you’ll be feasting on grilled wagyu beef, fried scallop salad and prawn curry all night long – and if you’re into the spicier side of life, take on their Hot Asian Food Challenge in 20 minutes to become the heat queen.

Cheese Feast & Bottomless Wine | Salt Meats Cheese

You’re not dreaming, Salt Meats Cheese Gasworks is putting on the Ritz with their cheese and wine event, featuring three glorious hours of cheese, cured meats, focaccias, pizza and mascarpone tiramisu. Grab tickets here and you’ll be feasting the day away with an unlimited selection of wine for just $29.

Silent Disco | Valley Fiesta

We can’t stop raving about silent discos, and now they’re at our doorstep. Equipped with your own headphones, dance the night away while listening to “I’m a Barbie Girl” on repeat while your mates are headbanging to the hottest EDM – and the best part is no one will be the wiser. For extra entertainment, just take your headphones off and watch people boogying wildly in silence.

Izway Wine x Malt Dining Degustation | Malt Dining

Join Craig Isbel as he takes you through a self-designed showcase of wine, complete with a matched four course degustation and cheese. Taking place on the third level of the gorgeous Malt Dining, this event will include tastings of an unreleased Izway, making it a truly one-of-a-kind night.
