All day venues are trending so hard, and it hurts so good. Who doesn’t love a jack-of-all-trades? This week is pumping out time savvy eateries left, right and centre, with extra little surprises that’ll really test your self-control (did someone say cookie dough and free garlic bread?). Eh, our New Year’s diet had a good run.
Pass the butter; the Lobster Shack has reached our shores. Until January 28, you’ll be lapping up all the champagne and gourmet lobster rolls you can handle. I wish Pinchy was here to enjoy this.
DoughLord | Fortitude Valley
Lord have mercy, cookie dough is here in its most socially acceptable form (the edible kind, because apparently we’ve been risking our lives throughout years of supermarket snacking). DoughLord is scooping up boss flavours including choc chip, salted caramel, red velvet and many more. Why doughn’t you give it a go?
What’s the most important meal of the day? All three, in our opinion. Min & Co is very around this information, serving up everything from French toast to risotto with sautéed mushrooms, parmesan and truffle oil. Your new favourite all day eatery is pretty damn min-t.
The best of the land, the sea and the garden has found refuge at Ragdoll Dining. This vibrant new venue is a must visit lunch, dinner and drinks hub, featuring jazzy beats and beachside vibes. Kick back with a cocktail and market fish with orange labneh and caper berries for a seriously satisfying time.
You wouldn’t want to be a fly on the wall at this joint. Get right up in the action at Dragonfly Espresso & Wine Bar! This new day and night space will let you indulge with the likes of egg waffles with vanilla custard, berry compote, pistachio praline and mini ice-cream in the AM, and blue swimmer crab and sea-scallop lasagne in the PM. Great, now we’re snacky.
Get app happy with Il Verde! If free garlic bread or gelato tickles your fancy, you’re one click away from being vigorously tickled. Their new app is offering this delicious promo to anyone that downloads it this month. Swipe right on this bad boy!
Level up your dining experience at Barangaroo House next time you hit our sister, Sydney. Matt Moran is gracing diners with a three-tiered venue full of elegant finger food and eclectic cocktails. It’s all about ‘fun dining’, not fine dining. With a ground floor bar, an 180-seat contemporary Australian restaurant on the mid level, plus rooftop bar Smoke. Bangarang.
