While sometimes we feel like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (hello bloating, my old friend) and the only busters we know are of the pants variety, we’re diving right into this week with open hearts and open mouths.

Head first we go!

LANEWAY WV | ITALIAN POP UP

Get down to West Village’s own lush laneway opening today for all-day eats courtesy of Montrachet and Salt Meats Cheese, serving fresh pastries as well as vegetarian and vegan pizza. Gelato Messina will be popping in on weekends with gelato cakes and decadent hot chocolate available until the end of the month.

BANOI | $7 PHO

You don’t need to bring a prezzie to Banoi’s first birthday, as they’ve turned the tables and are gifting us steamy bowls of their delicious Pho for only $7 from 11:30am this Saturday! King Street’s Vietnamese eatery will be selling their most popular Pho dishes – salty chicken or succulent beef – for half their usual prices.

WHICH CRAFT BEER | ALBANY CREEK

Which Craft Beer? How about all of them? Offering 30 different craft beers daily, this local bar is serving unique local and international brews that get changed out more regularly than us deciding what we want for dinner. They’ve also got a range of boutique wines and kombucha on tap – and your dogs can come along too!

THE GEORGE | ESPRESSO MARTINI FRIDAYS

Shake up your Fridays with a caffeine hit on King Street at The George. Kicking off from 4pm, enjoy creamy espresso Martinis made with freshly brewed AllPress espresso as you listen to the sweet tunes of their inhouse DJ.

ZEUS GREEK STREET | ROBINA KITCHENS

South Bank fave Zeus Greek Street has struck down at Robina Kitchens! Enjoy all your classic go-to’s with beef brisket, chicken schnitzel, lamb from the spit and more – or satisfy your sweet tooth with honey doughnuts or Nutella doughnuts.

WILD RAMEN POP UP | FORTITUDE VALLEY

We’re frothing for broth with Cut & Cook’s noodle night this Friday, bringing house-made noodles and live music to the Valley’s creative space Cupo. Listen to the live tunes of Charlie Hustle while you’re slurping soup and checking out the rad art from Sprinkles.

BURGER URGE | DOUBLE DECKER DEATH WISH

If you didn’t get it from the name, Burger Urge’s latest burg is Australia’s spiciest with two Angus beef patties and ghost chilli sauce. This is no joke, as the burger is served with goggles and gloves and requires a signed waiver to dig in – and it’s only available until Friday – so if you’re after a burger with a side of possible death, you’re going to love this.

EL’ ROSA | JAMES STREET

Looking for a function space fit for a princess? Take a walk down James Street to the pink and white lattice fence of el’ rosa and you’ll be swept up by the aesthetic of this sweet little venue. Filled with cacti and neon lights, you can book this space complete with catering or just pop in to enjoy coffee and pink drinks from Tuesday to Sunday.

CRAFT WINE STORE | COORPAROO

Crossing the river from Red Hill, Craft Wine Store has set up shop in Coorparoo bringing a range of Australian and international wines to the south side, and expect events popping up soon too!
