With Regional Flavours done and dusted, we’re still hungry for more foodie events – and we’re sniffing them out like a pig to truffle.

While we aren’t walking down a street of delectable eats currently (we’re not crying, it’s just been raining on our faces), we’re picking ourselves up and getting ready for what’s coming up this week.

X CARGO | FORTITUDE VALLEY

Saturday feels like it’s crawling towards us at a snail’s pace, and it’s probably because we’re so excited for the launch of Fortitude Valley’s new foodie precinct, X Cargo! This container park style venue is open late, so if you find yourself out on the town and craving a feed, you’ll be right at home – and with bars, a café, kitchen and function areas, you’ll want to slot this in to your calendar.

LEMAK | EAST BRISBANE

We’re always here for a good burg, and brand-new eatery Lemak is serving up Malaysian streetstyle burgers that we just can’t wait to wrap our hands around. Their menu will feature a tasty range including a beef burger with thin fried egg, salad, cheese and spicy BBQ sauce.

NYC BAGEL DELI | BRISBANE QUARTER

Hole-d up! Our fave dough dealers have hit W Hotel with the opening of NYC Bagel Deli, bringing fresh bagels straight to the centre of Brissie. We can’t wait to grab a classic salmon on the way to work – and we guess a coffee wouldn’t hurt.

BOOZE DELIVERY SERVICE | JIMMY BRINGS

What’s the worst part about wine? Having to go outside to get said wine, of course – which is why the launch of booze delivery service Jimmy Brings is our actual dream come true. The Uber Eats of our fave drinks, order wine, beer, spirits, mixers and extras (including chocolate, Panadol and cigarettes) straight to your door.

NIGHT NOODLE MARKETS | SOUTH BRISBANE

When the sun goes down, the noodles come out to play, and we’re running out with our chopsticks at the ready. The return of the Night Noodle Markets brings a bigger, better range of eats including tofu bao, pho, pork clouds and even watermelon cakes! Find out what you’ve gotta try here.

THE BARRA BOYS | EAST BRISBANE

Did we tell you we’re on a seafood diet? No seriously – forget the dad jokes, with the arrival of The Barra Boys to East Brisbane, we’ll be feasting on fresh fish straight from The Fish Factory all week. And if you’re all about chippies, you won’t be disappointed.

TIPPLER’S TAP | FORTITUDE VALLEY

James Street welcomes Tippler’s Tap back to the Valley with delectable bites and drinks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now isn’t that a turn on?

CHRISTMAS IN JULY | COORPAROO SQUARE

If you’re working on being the Mark Darcy of Christmas sweaters, get down to Coorparoo Square this weekend and you’ll fit right in at their Christmas in July Laneway Party. With an abundance of chicken, Turkish hot chocolates, mulled wine and cakes, diets are off. They’re cancelled.

RAW ENERGY | CBD

Fitspo enthusiasts listen up – Raw Energy is relaunching in the CBD on Wednesday, and to make their opening that much sweeter, they’re giving away free coffee all day and the opportunity to win a year’s supply of smoothies!

FUEGO VOLCANO ERUPTION | PARADOX COFFEE

We joke about how much we need coffee, but with the recent volcano eruption in Guatemala, we’re using our passion to help the survivors of the Fuego volcano eruption with Paradox Coffee. These amazing folks are donating 100% of profits from the sales of their Guatemalan Renacimineto coffee to survivors, and there has never been a better reason to not skip the morning caffeine.
