What's New This Week

It’s hard to be an expecting mother when your child is actually the large burrito with extra guac from last night, but you’ve just got to persevere.

While we may be repping the “I’m not pregnant, just bloated”, look a little too often, we’re not easing up any time soon.

Out with the waist trainers and in with the stretchy pants, we’re chowing down with this week’s foodie line-up.

Aviary Rooftop Bar| Gold Coast

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that’s love, which is why we’re stoked over the arrival of Aviary Rooftop Bar at the Gold Coast! An enclosed rooftop space with sweeping views of Surfers, Aviary is serving up Italian eats and tasty dishes with a green space on the rooftop where you can enjoy cocktails under the stars.

QC Club| Winter Menu

Using the heat from your toaster to feel a shred of warmth? QC Club are spicing up the season with their brand-new winter menu bringing hearty, comforting dishes to Woolloongabba using local produce and spices to warm the soul.

Miss Bliss| Winter Menu

Embracing all things Italian, Miss Bliss takes inspiration from the Amalfi Coast with their winter menu including crispy skinned salmon, beetroot pizza and rawtella muffins and French toast. The menu also features Greek elements like vegan goat cheese, and you feta believe we’ll be all over that.

Flying Cock Fitness| Fortitude Valley

If your pastime includes watching Kriss Kross and wondering why two children can break it down better than you (totally not speaking from personal experience), fear no more – The Flying Cock is coming at you with a judgement free Hip Hip Grooves class! With the bribe of a Watermelon Spritz, these classes will make you wanna jump, jump.

Chop Chop Changs| Winter Menu + Vegan Banquet

Not just pulling us in with their warming winter menu, Chop Chop Changs is amping things up with their $35 Vegan Banquet Tuesdays. You’ll be feasting on six courses of locally sourced vegan dishes including king brown mushroom yakitori and fried momen tofu – but bookings are essential.

Nostimo| The Greek Club

Bringing a smashing good time to West End’s Greek community, Nostimo is The Greek Club’s new signature restaurant headed by Chef David Tsirekas whose focus is on using fresh and locally sourced produce to create an authentic dining experience.

Sunday by the River| Newstead

The weather is perfect for lazy afternoons, so make the most of the clear skies and crisp air with Sunday by the River. The jazz and food truck event will feature tasty bites from King of the Wings, Rolls Pho Mi, That Greek Truck and Ruby the Little Red Ice Cream Van – as well as beers from Newstead Brewing Co. Pet and family friendly, you’re not going to want to miss this!

Dragon Fruit Beer | Harajuku Gyoza

While we’re all about beer, sometimes we want to jazz things up a bit – which is why we’re tickled pink by the arrival of dragon fruit craft brew at Harajuku Gyoza. Unfortunately, the dragon fruit/hibiscus booze is only available for a limited time, so don’t miss out.

Little Valley| Fortitude Valley

Is it worth it? Let me wok it – at Little Valley, the latest eatery from Gold Coast faves Rick Shores. Serving plenty of raw bar, cold cuts, rice, meats wok and dim sums, this Neo-Chinese eatery is set to be a must-do, and we’re all about it.

The Black Market Albion| Albion

Your Friday is set with a night of live music, fire pits and food trucks serving up delectable eats at The Black Market Albion. With great vibes and cute companions (your furry friends are more than welcome) enjoy your night in style.
