This week is full of classic favourites hooking up with new twists. From out of town eateries rocking up on our doorstep to Pulp Fiction inspired bars (we are milk-shaking with excitement), you’re going to need to get a head start on this list right now. We’re sure your boss won’t notice if you leave for lunch and never come back.
Ooh la la! Say
bonjour to the newest member of the King Street family (and prep your wardrobe for Eiffel Tower-sized cravings). Set next door to Montrachet’s newest digs, the boulangerie will unveil a suite of French pastries, lunch baguettes, and fresh, French-style bread. From eclairs we’re e-clamouring to get our hands on to duck sausage rolls and brisket pies, we’d like to say a fond
au revoir to all other bakeries, our waistlines, and any breakfast food that isn’t filled with chocolate cream. It’s been real.
Because who doesn’t love a cheeky poké bowl once or thrice a week? Opening on December 15, Cheeky Poké Bar will bowl you over with their fresh selections, including the likes of miso bone broths and wonton tacos. You’ll be wonton to eat your way through this menu that’s for sure.
Everyone’s fave American diner is making its comeback to Morningside! Don your finest bib and tuck into all the ribs, burgers, wings and fries you can get your hands on. Messy eaters, we’re home.
Tap beer and wood fired pizza is coming your way! Malt Brewing Co. is set to open at some point this week, you’ll need to keep a keen eye out on their
Facebook page for an official opening date. Brewtiful stuff.
What happens when Salt Meats Cheese? Magic happens. This venue is known for being a jack-of-all-trades – nailing its breakfast, lunch and Italian dinner offerings. Brisbane has finally been graced with the best, so make sure you meat your foodie match for a bite very soon.
Escape your local shopping centre by visiting it (nope, no mistake here). 8 Street is an innovative Asian hawker market style precinct, turning a little slice of regular life into a cultural laneway. You’ll be sushi rollin’ into a very good time.
This joint might be all the way up in Mooloolaba, but you won’t feel like a fish out of water when you visit. Saltwater is your new go-to fish and chippery for those essential summer trips to the coast. Reel in everything from standard seafood favourties to a fancier linguini.
This is one you’ll be down for in two shakes of a lambs tail. A Pulp Fiction inspired bar will be at the forefront of a super cool basement cocktail party on December 16 and 17. You can expect cult-classic cocktail masterclasses with mixologist Shaun Byrne, premium food offerings, DJs and more. Now that’s how you party.
Ready to throw down? Trash Tiki are bringing aptly trashy drinks and punk tunes to Black Bear Lodge on December 17. Getting a little trashy is always better than dating someone trashy, so you’re making the right choice tonight.
Palazzo Versace’s designer restaurant is back, and bigger and better than ever! Who wouldn’t want to fancy it up with a prosciutto eggs benny? Treat yo’self.
Bunnath Kitchen | Robina

Brace yourselves, P’Nut Street Noodles is coming to Bulimba! Head to the grand opening on December 15 for $5 noodles! Not only is that cheap as chips (and we can hear every student internally screaming), but all proceeds from the event will go to the largest Australian charity in Thailand, Hands Across the Water. Double. Bless.
Festival like the locals do and get down to Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre for summers best centre shindig! Turn up with live music, roving entertainment and special offers throughout the centre. We’re talking $1 Betty’s Burgers, people!! *Eats all the burgers
