What to eat and drink this weekend in Brisbane

Another weekend of food and booze, incoming.

If the cold has been keeping you indoors of late, we’ve got an epic foodie itinerary to get you out and about this weekend.

From delicious new seasonal menus, to Bastille Day treats and cocktails galore, this one has it all.

Go forth and devour, foodie friends!

EAT ME

Gourmet | Braised lamb shoulder from Three Blue Ducks  | W Hotel, CBD

There’s something so indulgent about enjoying lamb in winter, and Three Blue Ducks braised lamb shoulder is no exception. Recently launched as part of their new winter menu, TBD’s braised lamb shoulder is served with roasted Jerusalem artichoke, fennel salad and buttermilk dressing – need we say more?

Hot tip: If you’re having trouble deciding on your dishes, opt for the group set menu!

Gourmand | House made Macarons from Bisou Bisou | Fortitude Valley

For those in the mood for a dose of French sophistication this Bastille Day weekend, stop by Bisou Bisou for delicate house-made macarons infused with Chartreuse, Armagnac and Chambord. Prepared by Head Pastry Chef, Troy Askin, these little beauties are available until Sunday, July 17 at the Lobby Bar for $5 each.  Une petite treat? Oui oui!

Hot tip: Treat yourself to a glass of French champagne. It is Bastille weekend after all.

DRINK ME

Gourmet | Signature martini from Bacchus | South Bank

As far as weekend drinking (and eating!) spots go, it’s hard to go past a Bacchus experience. Whether you’re looking to dine in for a special occasion or simply make a beeline for the bar, Bacchus’ signature martini is a must.

Made on your choice of gin or vodka, Regal Rogue vermouth and a selection of house essences, this is one martini you won’t forget in a hurry – regardless of how many you down!

Hot tip: Order the selection of cured meat and cheese to go with your martini.

Gourmand | Pumpkin Highball cocktail from Butler | Fish Lane

Officially opening their doors last week, Butler Wine Bar is quickly becoming our new favourite hangout. This cosy, 35-seater wine bar in Fish Lane is the perfect spot to farewell the week, with the help of their pumpkin highball cocktail.

Made on Starward Two-Fold, spiced pumpkin syrup and soda, this is one bevvy you’ll want to order again, and again.

Hot tip: Get in early to snag the booth!
