We like our weekends served sunny side up (not poached at 63 degrees, can this trend please stop).

It’s time to swap your city-fuelled saltiness for a saltwater swim – two of Noosaville’s neighbouring beaches have everything you need for a well-deserved getaway!

Pack your bags and give your stomach a proper pep talk, people, your weekend at Sunrise and Sunshine Beach is going to be packed with everything from pizza to pumping those legs all the way up to Noosa National Park. Work that winter bod.

SATURDAY

You made it! Even though the trek to the Coast isn’t the greatest feat, it’s enough to earn you a solid breakfast at Chalet & Co. Nestled at the base of a balmy beachside apartment complex, Chalet & Co. is a contemporary little nook welcoming sandy folk and fur children alike. Start the day light with apple, coconut and apricot bircher served with mixed berries, coconut flakes, fresh apple and strawberry, or spice up your life with sweet potato and smoked chorizo cake topped with free range poached eggs, avocado, wild rocket, house chipotle mayo, and dukkah.

After checking into your Airbnb and sneaking in a cheeky little nap (you’ll need it for this arvo, trust us), lunch at FOMO is a must. You won’t want to miss out on sinking into a seat at this sun kissed venue, knowing very well that your order of salmon tartare lettuce cups with green goddess dressing, cucumber and puffed rice or rotating daily pasta special is right around a glass of wine.

Ready to get your #fitspo on? Don your hiking shoes and make tracks for Noosa National Park from Sunshine Beach. Let this walking guide lead you in the right direction (if we were good at giving directions we’d be Gourmand, Gourmet & Expert GPS Services), but know that seeing Hell’s Gates in Noosa National Park is a must.

Exhausted? Great – you’ve earned your carbs. Flock to Fratellini for authentic Italian fare, with everything from confit duck risotto to crispy skin pork belly set to revive your soul. Go on, get a prosciutto pizza to share while you’re at it.

SUNDAY

Good morning sunshine! Today is all about R&R, starting with a bit of brekkie at The Deck. Indulge in classic favourites cooked to perfection as you slice into a buttermilk pancake stack with berry compote, maple syrup and whipped cream, gluten free corn cake with roasted roma tomatoes, avocado, baby spinach, a poached egg, bacon and chutney, and smashed avo with Danish feta and dukkah.

Did you really go to the beach if you didn’t lay on it? It’s time to take your pick of Sunshine or Sunrise, whip out a towel, and turn every half hour for an even coating of natural tan. If it’s too cold to sunbathe, get back to basics with a spot of beach sport.

Once the hanger kicks in, make your way over to Mooshka for lunch. This colourful little eatery has comfort food down pat, meaning you can see out your afternoon with potato skins, spicy chicken tacos, halloumi burgers and Mexican pulled pork pizza. Heck, you’re on holiday – don’t forget to treat yourself to a summery sunshine daiquiri.

Saving the best for last, Sum Yung Guys will end your weekend on a delicious note. With tempting Asian eats filling out the menu, you might need a minute to decide between sum choi bao with pork, chilli jam, peanuts, and roasted rice, wok tossed mussels with lemongrass, ginger and coconut water, and sour yellow curry with roast pumpkin, snake bean and silken tofu. May the odds be ever in your flavour.

That’s a wrap! Hope your holiday was one for the memory book.
