WATT to do with Mum this Mother’s Day

The day when we say thanks to our mums for all their brilliant advice and loving care (Mother’s Day of course – haven’t you seen all the Hallmark cards?) is coming up fast, which means it’s time to start making plans for how you’re going to spoil yours. And if stunning riverside views and a delicious meal full of fresh seasonal produce sounds like the perfect way to spend a morning treating your mum on Sunday 8 May, New Farm’s WATT has you covered, with a Mother’s Day menu that will make sure she feels like the best mum in the world. If your mum is an early riser, say thanks for all the home cooked meals with sunny views over the sparkling Brisbane River and a heavenly breakfast from New Farmer’s Kitchen. For $24.50 per adult and $14 for the youngsters, you and Mum will have the pick of their scrumptious morning menu. From cheesy croque monsieur with kurobuta ham and gruyère to creamy bircher muesli with apple, poached pear and coconut, there’s a delicious brunch for every kind of mum of here, and even a hearty big breakfast for the dads. But because it’s mum’s special day, she’ll be the one to get a special breakfast smoothie or juice with her meal – and for once, you’re not allowed to ask her to share. If your mum is more into sleeping in on her one morning off for the year, wine and dine her over a long, leisurely lunch by the river. Tuck into two courses for $55pp or three courses for $65pp, including a complimentary glass of Mumm champagne for the lady of the day. Deliciously fresh lunch options include their slow cooked beef shin pappardelle or crispy salt and pepper squid with coriander, citrus and pickled cucumber, and mum can even satisfy her sweet tooth with heavenly desserts like the lemon doughnuts, milk chocolate, freeze dried raspberries and fairy floss. May 8 can’t come soon enough! The Little Farmers aren’t forgotten either, with a special menu available at $14.50 per child. To ensure your position as Mum’s favourite child, at least until you make your next bad decision and need some sage advice, bookings for Mother’s Day at WATT’s can be made online for 8:00am onwards for breakfast and 12:00pm to 2:30pm for lunch.
