Brisbane’s most beautiful wedding venues
We’re not crying, you’re crying.
Striking the perfect balance between urban and rustic, the 2019 trend of having a #warehousewedding is G&G’s personal favourite, and the stylish equivalent of getting hitched in a barn – but like, make it fashion.
If the wedding of your dreams includes the perfect warehouse, but your experience is limited to the jingles in a Bunnings Warehouse ad, prepared to be unsnagged.
Here’s our list of Brisbane’s best warehouse wedding locations – where high ceilings are just the beginning.
Take breathtaking timber ceilings, mixed-vintage furniture, and stunning polished floors for your wedding venue at Lightspace, the Valley’s ultimate warehouse wedding destination. With dedicated catering partners such as celebrity chef Alastair McLeod’s AlFreshCo also at their disposal, it’s all ‘I do’ and no do nots at Lightspace (unless you’re talking about Nodo donuts – yep, they’re a caterer too!).
What better place to join together in holy matrimony than The Joinery, West End’s delightfully refurbished warehouse venue? Past the awe-inspiring industrial façade and chandelier-lit interior, this reception venue also boasts some killer customisable menu options, providing everything from grand sit-down dinners to casual cocktails and canapés.
If it’s good enough for wine, then by Jove, it’s good enough (if not better) for engaged foodies! Sirromet Winery’s Barrel Hall is an age-old wine cellar turned reception venue, decked out with the requisite high ceilings alongside authentic wine barrels, brick arches, and access to some grape varieties of Australian wine.
We can’t stop gushing about Lushington, the sublime warehouse-come-rustic-wedding venue hidden just off the hustle and bustle of Woolloongabba’s main thoroughfare. On the big day, it won’t be just the bride who comes dressed to impress either – this reception area boasts luxurious emerald green couches, pendant lighting, and endless squares of polished concrete space to dance and dine your wedding night away!
Who said warehouses can’t be fancy. The Refinery in Newstead’s stunning warehouse design is the definition of first-class, featuring minimalistic beams and braces intermixed with bespoke crockery, on-trend furniture, and (of course!) gorgeous drinks and eats.
Truffle salami charcuterie anyone?
