The Variety of Young Chefs Dinner is an annual foodie affair celebrating the exceptional talent of some of Brisbane’s finest up-and-coming chefs while raising funds to help Variety – the Children’s Charity assist sick and disadvantaged children. This year, the event is taking place at brand spanking new London Fields in West End on Thursday, September 24 and has a surprising twist. Four out of the five young chefs showing off their talents at this culinary adventure are women, taking the stage to show that the world of cooking isn’t just for the blokes! The five chefs will be cooking up a storm and creating a surprise five course extravaganza which starts with swanky cocktails and canapés at 6:30pm, and continues with matched wines throughout the night. These culinary superstars come from some of Brisabne’s most celebrated restaurants, including London Fields! The full lineup features: But the event isn’t just about the delicious eats. Funds raised from the dinner will go towards Variety – the Children’s Charity, to support Queensland kids who are sick or disadvantaged and provide aid for those with special needs. Proceeds raised on the evening will go towards helping on special young person in particular: 10-year-old Maya, who suffers from 27 medical conditions and 5 disabilities.
