Vegetarians, look away now, because this new Milton eatery is one for the meat lovers. Dishing up tender, melt-in-your-mouth slow cooked meats from a quirky, relaxed venue, 2Forks is on its way to being our new favourite spot for a quick dinner or takeaway feed. With a fluoro sign on the wall proclaiming ‘Stick a fork in me…’ you’ll certainly be well and truly done after one of their juicy burgers, nachos or burritos. The menu here is a choose your own adventure, though like any good adventure book, you may want to read it more than once! 2-forks-2 It all starts with the pulled meat. Choose from bourbon BBQ pork, sweet and spicy char sui pork, tequila or Mexican beef, or pomegranate glazed lamb with mint yoghurt, amongst a few others. Once the hard part is over, it’s time to choose your vehicle – will it be brioche burger, toasted burrito or the white corn nachos? The health conscious can even get it with a side of salads like raw broccoli with buttermilk dressing or pumpkin, parmesan and pearl cous cous. But really, who could go past those nachos? Just make sure you get some thick cut chips to munch on as well, if only so you can hit the salt bar and sample your way through toasted onion, roasted garlic, sriracha and Szechuan pepper salts. Got a big group? Order up a share platter pile with your choice of meat, corn tortillas, avocado, tomato salsa and sour cream and get hands on making your own mini tacos. And don’t worry if there’s a vego in the group – there’s a vegetarian burger on the menu too. 2forks-3 There’s a small selection of drinks to pair your meal with if you prefer to eat in and question why the life-sized cow on the wall is saying oink, including beer, wine and cider. If not, just grab it to take away and eat at home on your couch. You’ll find 2Forks on the corner of Manning Street and Railway Terrace in Milton, open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
