Today’s the day: Get #UberIceCream delivered to your door!

From the good kids behind UberKittens and UberPuppies, comes UberIceCream! Yep, we’re talking ice cream delivered straight to you, and for a damn good cause – so you have every excuse to eat ice cream for lunch today. Restaurants, cafes, hotels, farmers, supermarkets, and even people like you and me (guilty) are wasting good food every day, when there are people out there who struggle to put food on the table at all. Which is why the amazing people behind OzHarvest (Australia’s first perishable food rescue organisation) collect all the quality excess foods from more than 2,000 commercial outlets, and delivers it all, free of charge, to over 800 charities across the country. To spread the words about this amazing cause, Uber has teamed up with a few of our favourite Aussie renowned chefs, George Calombaris, Neil Perry and Matt Moran, to deliver ice cream to your mouth, this Friday 15 July. Proceeds from every tub of goodness will buy five meals for vulnerable people in need. So that diet you have planned for (since January 1) can hold off for another week my friends, because these tubs of ice cream are to be eaten for a good cause! Each of the famous Aussie chefs have specifically designed their own flavoured Ice-Cream. The flavours on offer include:
  • George Calombaris’s caramel and walnut baklava smash
  • Matt Moran’s banoffee crunch
  • Neil Perry’s spiced cookie and caramel swirl.
