What to eat and drink this weekend in Brisbane

Here we are on the eve of another weekend (Feb, where did you go?!) and because we want yours to be as good as the last, we’ve made sure your taste buds are well taken care of.

EAT ME 

Gourmet | Lobster roll & truffle fries from Lobster and Co | Clem Jones Promenade, South Bank 

As far as lunch goes, this is about as boujee as you can get – so naturally it had to make this list. A whole confit Australian lobster tail served warm in a slightly caramelised brioche bun, finished with buttermilk slaw and truffle fries – what more could you want on a Saturday afternoon? 

That’s right, absolutely nothing. 

Hot tip: Add on a glass of Piper Heidsieck champagne for $20 – because why not?

Gourmand | House-made crumpets from Billykart | West End 

We love an all day brunch menu here at the G&G, and Billykart has one of the best. The must-order when you get here? The house-made crumpets. Light and fluffy pillows of crumpet-y goodness, served with honeycomb butter and washed down with a coffee or two. 

Sounds like a pretty good way to start the weekend if you ask me.

Hot tip: Ordering two servings is advised – they’re THAT good!
