The world’s best bar is coming to Brisbane!
- 09 Feb 2017
We usually miss out on the best and the booziest events in the Sunshine State – it’s a real cause of FOMO and not a small amount of time spent scouring the web for sale flights to Sydney and Melbourne. But for once, we’re not missing a thing, because the world’s best bar is touring Oz for three nights only, and Brisbane’s very own The Gresham is hosting one of those nights on April 19! Recently named best bar in the world, New York’s The Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog is part Irish pub, part uber trendy cocktail bar, with three floors of craft beer, bottled punches, whiskeys, wine and cocktails, not to mention a food menu of crab cakes, cheese and charcuterie and crispy pork belly sliders. While they obviously won’t be able to bring the whole shebang (can you imagine the shipping costs?), you can be sure they’ll be bringing a few of their most creative cocktails and a drool-worthy sample of their fare! It’s all being brought to us by Aussie boutique spirit makers Melbourne Moonshine and Poor Tom’s Gin, who, after one too many cocktails, hatched the plan to bring the world class bar to our shores. Thanks to them, you’ll be able to visit the New York bar for only $47 a ticket instead of a pricey affair, with the The Gresham being taken over by the cocktail connoisseurs on Wednesday 19 April from 7pm to midnight. Tickets include a drink on entry and a sample of the famous food, with plenty more sips available for purchase. Grab yours here.
