The Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is back!

If you’ve moseyed on out to Sunnybank for an Asian feast recently you’ll know the feeling of being overwhelmed by choices. Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Taiwanese, Thai, Indian – the stress of choosing is almost enough to send us running back home to make do with cereal for dinner. Almost. The good peeps out at Sunnybank have seen our struggle and decided to do something about it. They’re giving food lovers a chance to sample all the diverse cuisines on offer on a delicious food trail of Sunnybank Plaza on Saturday 12 November. The free event will traipse through over 40 of the suburbs restaurants and food outlets, with one or two tasty mini dishes available at each destination for $2 each. Afterwards, you’ll know just where to head back to when in the future you get a sudden craving for wonton soup, fluffy pork buns or chicken karaage. And you know you will. The self-guided trail is happening from 2-8pm. Wok your way through vegetable samosas, Sichuan beef, BBQ pork, sizzling stir-fries and a whole lot more (seriously – there’s over 30 different dishes on offer). For those with a cuisine (or craving) in mind, six smaller tasting trails are available: the Yum Cha Trail, Authentically Asian Trail, Vegetarian Trail, Little Foodies Trail, Sweet Tooth Trail, and Cool it Down Trail. Have we got you wonton more? Find yourself a map and a menu online or from an information stand on the day and take your taste buds on a foodie adventure! Words by Ranyhyn Akui
