The inside scoop on summer specials at La Macelleria

I scream for gelato.

Hailing all the way from Bologna (the legit home of gelato) La Macelleria Gelateria is scooping authentic gelato and sorbet specials for summer at their four locations across Brisbane, and we couldn’t be more ready to get amongst it in the form of cups, cones, and full down-the-arm dribbles!

Combining traditional Italian flavours, techniques and philosophy, the team at La Macelleria endeavour to hero quality Queensland produce, highlighted in their upcoming (slightly quirky but entirely delicious) gelato specials.

Kick off your Feb frosty treat consumption with the vegan oat milk gelato infused with Industry Beans coffee – sweet, creamy and perfectly bitter, this special is a decadent dairy-free option for when you need to go one colder than your daily dose of iced latte.

It isn’t all about the coffee drinkers, though, with a BUBBLE TEA GELATO also on the cards! The milk tea-flavoured gelato with bubble tea pearls will be an even more exclusive scoop, available on rotating Saturdays between 3pm and 7pm: Teneriffe on February 8, West End on February 15, Coorparoo on February 22, and King Street on February 29.

Once we say farewell to Feb, those who love to down a coldie on a hot day will love the Green Beacon-flavoured beer gelato on offer for the month of March – a must-try treat using the brews from Brissie’s award-winning local brewery. Stout-soaked savoiardi biscuits make this seasonal special the perfect bittersweet treat, and a very mod take on the classic Italian tiramisu.

Better yet, 25 cents from every gelato sold in the month of February will go straight to Red Cross and the NSW Rural Fire Service to help the Australian bushfire crisis. You now have permission to feel completely free of guilt when ordering that second scoop – grazie, La Macelleria.
