The city pop-up bar to spend your summer at
28 Dec 2016
Between all the Christmas shopping and New Year’s Eve fireworks, you probably haven’t even started thinking about your 2017 party plans yet, but with January’s biggest event (ok, second biggest – Australia Day is in the mix too) already on the courts, it’s time to get back in the game. The game, of course, is tennis, with the Brisbane International already underway, soon to be followed by the Australian Open. And the best place to catch up on all action and enjoy a few after work drinks doing it? Treasury’s Courtyard in the CBD, where a pop-up bar will be serving up live tennis, tunes, lawn games and drinks every Friday during January, as well as Australia Day! To really get you into the swing of things, the al fresco space will be transformed into a summer-worthy bar, complete with a half size tennis court. Stop by each Friday from 5pm and enjoy a Jacobs Creek frosé, ice cold Coopers beer or jug of Pimms on one of the chill out lounges, while you watch the tennis on the big screen. The fun doubles in the last week of January, when the bar will be open on Thursday for Australia Day celebrations – and even more tennis! The pop-up bar will be hitting the courtyard in the Treasury Heritage Hotel on William Street in the CBD from 5pm on Friday January 6, 13, 20 and 27, as well as Australia Day. Join them for a serve of summer fun!
