Stop whatever you’re doing at your desk right now, and head to straight to lunch (do not pass go, do not collect $200), because we’ve found the ultimate choose your own adventure of wining and dining at Rush. That’s right, choose your own foodie adventure. Whether you’re the fussy type who won’t touch pumpkin, dairy or gluten intolerant, or you’ll eat absolutely anything (that’s us), this Brisbane city restaurant has you covered with their new mix and match menu. Rush, on Queen Street, is dishing up so much more than the puns we could make (rush down for a feed, we’ve got a crush on rush etc.). They deliver the perfect lunch combination on every visit. You can enjoy the bliss of being able to choose a meal you know you’ll finish every mouthful of – because it’s just what you wanted, down to the roasted potato instead of a salad on the side. So sit down and prepare to get more bang for your lunchtime buck. If it’s a hefty dose of carbs you’re after, the pasta selection will gnocchi your socks off with a choice of three kinds of pasta, matched with sauce of your choice. Like it creamy? Gnocchi with fig, spinach, blue cheese and white wine sauce will fulfill your cheesy dreams. Feel like spaghetti but you’re wearing a white shirt and just know that disaster will strike? Take the tomato, red wine and beef ragu (because wine…) and put it atop rigatoni! Need some protein to get you through the afternoon? The mains selection at Rush is second to none, piling your plates with goodness like char grilled eye fillet, confit duck leg, or barramundi. There’s even a tofu dish for the herbivores among us. And, of course, your choice of seven different sides to pair with the meaty goodness. You’ll find us in the corner swimming in kipfler ‘taties. The slightly more health conscious can get their protein atop a fresh salad – with three choices to match it with of course! Finally, there are 125 desserts to mix, match and drool over. 125. We’re telling you now, this isn’t a menu for the faint at heart or the indecisive. So put your big boy pants on (and by big boy, we really just mean reaaaally stretchy) and start making some decisions. Squash whatever is left of that appetite with a chocolate brownie, banoffee pie or Belgium waffles, smothered in your choice of sauce and topping combinations. Salted caramel and Chantilly cream? Raspberry AND chocolate gelato? Stuff deciding, we’ll take it all. So, no matter where the adventure takes you, you’re bound to find your perfect dish at Rush CBD. Head over for a boozy weekday lunch to get you through the day, or indulge in an after work wine and dine.
