The 1980s was arguably the greatest decade of all time, full of extreme fashion, gigantic hair, verified bangers, and our favourite films.

Whether you lived through the 1980s or missed out on the fun, Donna Chang invites everyone to relive the legendary decade and step into a time warp for one night only on Wednesday, October 9, with a 1980s-inspired menu designed by the restaurant’s head chef, Jason Margaritis.

The banquet will start with old-school snacks like prawn crackers with crab and corn,  quail and peanut san choy bao, and sesame prawn toast with truffle kewpie.

Moving through the menu,  prepare yourself for steamed ling fish with ginger and spring onion, lemon chicken, sizzling black bean beef, and Donna Chang’s special fried rice (that one’s a timeless classic). Finally, indulge in deep-fried caramel ice cream with golden caramel sauce (just try to keep it off your shoulder pads).

It’s not all about the food, though, with a gnarly 1980s-inspired beverage menu available on the night, curated by beverage director Aaron Clark and Ghanem Group sommelier Penny Grant.

For $88 per person, ‘80s night at Donna Chang is sure take you back to your favourite local Chinese restaurant with Phil Collins blaring!

Limited places are available, and bookings are essential, so make sure to secure your place by contacting the restaurant via info@donnachang.com.au or 07 3243 4888.
