Tasty spots to watch the Rugby World Cup final

Rugby World Cup final: Saturday, November 2.

All you sporty spices out there, this one’s for you! The Rugby World Cup is coming to an exciting finish, and OBVIOUSLY we’re making it all about food. Here are our top spots to catch the action.

Osbourne Hotel | Fortitude Valley

Proud Wallabies fanatics (sorry about that, guys), the team at the Osbourne Hotel know how to throw a damn good footy-themed party. The leafy beer garden creates the perfect setting for some ice-cold brews, bar snacks and lots of yelling-angrily-at-the-big-screen fun! Grab a table for the final here!

Red Hook | CBD

Named after the iconic Red Hook neighbourhood in Brooklyn, this humble spot is dishing up some delicious, albeit slightly messy, NYC-style eats. For the Rugby World Cup, however, Red Hook has travelled east, serving up some Japanese-inspired fare and some pretty epic drink specials. The grand final is set to be a big night at Red Hook, so head on in to see what the fuss is all about! Check out all the info, here.

5 Boroughs | Rosalie

Beers, burgers and lots of waaangs. This is the name of the game at 5 Boroughs Rosalie, as they get set to throw a giant World Cup final party with the help of YP Threads. This not only means there will be some very loud shirts, it also means there will be some awesome foodie specials, like one kilo of wings and two pints of Stone and Wood for $30. Event info can be found here.

Fritzenberger | CBD

The good people at Fritzenberger are turning it UP for the World Cup. Masters of all things burgers, frites and beers, this Petrie Terrace spot is the ideal place to unwind, eat up, and enjoy the game!

Newstead Brewing Co. | Milton

This brewpub has shown every game of the World Cup and Milton locals have well and truly gotten amongst it. Now it’s time to finish the thing with a bang, and we hear this involves some great food and brew offerings. Rumour has it there is a Ballymore Queensland Lager and burger special available for the duration of the cup, but you’ll have to head in to find out more!

Boundary Hotel | West End

The backyard space at West End’s Boundary Hotel is as about as gorgeous as they come. Dishing up elevated pub fare including some delicious wood fired pizzas, this iconic spot will be showing the World Cup final across multiple screens, and we can guarantee you won’t leave hungry (or thirsty, for that matter).

The big game is set to kick off at 7pm. That also happens to be dinner time. Coincidence?
