After decades of hearing the world croon “chuck another shrimp on the barbie,” it’s undeniable that Australians are hooked on seafood delicacies of all glorious shapes, textures and tastes.  

To celebrate that there are plenty of fish in the sea worth putting on your plate, Treasury Brisbane is reeling in the very best ocean-based bites at their Seafood Freshtival!

Running until May 31, Seafood Freshtival sees Treasury’s signature venues offer up exclusive dishes, and host events highlighting everything under the sea—both local and international.

Throughout the month, let Black Hide tempt you with two exceptional dish and wine pairings; Moreton Bay bugs with grilled broccolini and lemon caper butter served with a glass of Heirloom chardonnay, and grilled Hervey Bay scallops with lemon herb butter served with a glass of Tiefenbrunner pinot grigio!

For lovers of lobster (or those yet to have their first crack), shell out at Kitchen at Treasury for lobster mornay with thick-cut chips and salad for just $29.99 for club members (want that lobster? Join the club).

At Luke Nguyen’s contemporary Chinese restaurant, Fat Noodle, slide into a $69 shared seafood feast for two featuring marine marvels including Tassie and Coffin Bay oysters, duck and crab fried rice, and scallop dumplings!

Events-wise, you’ll want to sink your crab claws into this—Treasury’s sell-out wine and cheese event series returns with Cheese, Wine & Seafood on May 24—a flavoursome extravaganza in Treasury’s courtyard with three hours of bubbles, wine, cheese, antipasto and seafood canapés!
