Sydney is getting a bacon festival!

Everyone stay calm! You might need to sit down for this news – sit down with a knife, a fork, and a big appetite. There’s a bacon festival coming to Sydney! Trust us, we’re trying not to squeal in excitement too. For twelve whole weeks, the team at restaurant Cuckoo Callay will be dishing up some bacon-centric plates. For those after a savoury fix, bite into the pulled-pork burger that is overloaded with boar meat, bacon, and deep fried onion rings, while those with a sweet tooth can enjoy the heavenly combo that is French toast stuffed with bacon and peanut butter with a scoop of bourbon bacon ice cream. But the dish that is bacon us crazy is the bacon encrusted breakfast burrito. A tortilla is stuffed with pulled pork, black beans, cheese and scrambled eggs before being wrapped entirely in bacon and shallow fried to crispy perfection.
