Suburban Foodies: Kenmore

Best Restaurants Kenmore

It’s time to make like The Village People and head west, to Kenmore.

The sleepy, leafy little suburb is a hit with families – and is proving to be a hit with the foodie scene too. From pizza to piccolos, no matter the cuisine or caffeine preference – quiet Kenmore is becoming an undisputed foodie hub. Here’s a few of our faves!

Pizza lovers, you’re going to want to make a beeline here, PRONTO! Start with nonna’s rosemary and garlic bread, and then pick from classic wood fired pizzas. Our pick? Keep it classic with the Rustica, mozzarella, baked potato, pork and fennel sausage and taleggio. Bellissimo!

Like to take a wok on the wild side? There’s no fear of a bland experience at Sichuan Bang Bang. Adhering to the principles of Sichuan cooking, if you like it hot – welcome home. Snack on Peking duck pancakes, or down dumplings alongside classic beef Sichuan Ma la dry pot. Got a hot date to impress? Don’t be afraid to ask for EXTRA SPICY. What could go wrong? (We accept no responsibility.)

These are no traditional pizzas, but there’s no doubting that Neighbourhood are the business when it comes to unusual pizza combos. The American Hot Honey – a combination of dried chili, hot honey and salami – would probably make your nonna cry, but we’ve only got tears of joy. As well as local beers and boutique wine, your slice is perfectly complimented with hip-hop, funk and soul from the team’s vinyl collection.

Consider yourself a caffeine connoisseur? The Single Guys is a coffee lovers holy ground. From filter coffee to V60 pourovers, cappuccinos to chai – if you think you’ve bean there, done that – think again.  Not just liquid courage – the Single Guys also boasts an impressive brunch menu including avocado toast with watercress and fetta, and brioche French toast with passionfruit coulis and vanilla creme Anglaise – as well as seriously sexy beef brisket burgers with chipotle slaw.

More than just fresh juices and smoothies, Charlie’s Raw Squeeze is a health food mecca for all things fresh and wholesome. Boasting a selection of chia puddings, acai bowls, lunch treats and raw cakes – as well as their famous NiceCream. Nothing but frozen fruit goes into these bad boys – and you’ll feel all the better for it.

What are you waiting for? Jump on the M5 and cruise into Kenmore.
