Steamy feasts at Dumpling Republic

Right in the hustle and bustle of the Brisbane CBD, you’ll find an oasis of food (and lots of it!) in the sleek and sophisticated surrounds of Dumpling Republic in the Wintergarden. Just off the Queen Street Mall, the contemporary getaway from the usual inner city group dining likelies (read: food courts) is decked out in intimate tables and larger banquet spots you can bring the whole office to for chowing down on dumplings (more like yumplings), noodles, soups and stirfries. Dumpling Republic has a secret weapon in the crafting and mastering of parcel perfection, in that their executive chef, Master Sim, a Singaporean dumpling master, has trained for 15 years in order to achieve master status. This means that their dumplings are individually hand crafted for those who are serious about dumpling devouring. handmadedumplingIt’s not easy to choose between their menu of puffed parcelly pieces. Instead of struggling to decide between a basket of steamed pork and crab meat, prawn and scallop, chicken and leek, or their famous soup filled steamed pork dumplings, bring a hoard of family and friends, order a basket of everything and give yourselves the opportunity to try a bit of it all! If dumplings don’t fill your tumpling (they will), Dumpling Republic also has a delicious range of main meals and hot snacks to pass about the table to accompany. Wrap your mouth around their steamed Chinese bun filled with melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, dig your chopsticks into a big bowl of sweet and sour pork or get hands on with a plate of hot wings and watch them disappear before your eyes. porkbellybunSo, grab a group and enjoy some quality time together over great food. The only thing you’ll regret after leaving Dumpling Republic is not being able to fit in more, but you dim sum you lose some. Dumpling Republic is open seven days a week from 11am until late.
