Spring foodie events worth getting dressed up for
It’s the season of florals–the perfect time to enjoy some midday sunshine before summer arrives to fry us...
Get on that sea-food-and-eat-it diet.
If your ideal Sunday sesh is Moreton Bay bugs and oysters, then rejoice because the iconic bug and oyster trail that is Sea to the City is back again on October 13!
Stretching from Eagle Street Pier to Customs House, this free foodie trail will take you on a culinary tour of 17 riverfront culinary institutions to sample how these diverse dining destinations can work their magic with oysters and Moreton Bay bugs. Meander down the pier, pop into as many restaurants as you please and maybe order a cheeky vino – it’s as simple as that!
Hot menu items include the truly iconic Moreton Bay bug croissant from Customs House (if you know, you know) and oysters with green apple, cucumber and wasabi gelée and grilled bugs with XO sauce from Madame Wu. Cue salivation.
If you still need convincing, some of the other participating restaurants include Jellyfish, Riverbar and Kitchen, Il Centro, Riverland and Saké so, yeah, it’s kind of a big deal.
Swim on down to Eagle Street from 11am to 6pm to get amongst the fishy festivities and keep your eyes peeled here for the full menu which will be dropping early October.
