Sure, Secret Santas, dorky decorations and larger-than-life lunches are certainly things to look forward to during the festive season, but nothing quite raises spirits like a bright and boozy Christmassy concoction made by one of Brisbane’s boldest bartenders. We’ve rounded up a delicious selection of bars that have specially mixed festive elixirs that will get the the jingle bells jingling on your Christmassy night out. It’s time to whisky yourself away for a magical evening filled with Christmas cheer fueled by scrumptiously spiced cocktails. Come on, you’d be Rude-olph not to! Soleil | South Brisbane It’s hard to opt for a winter warming, Christmas-spice cocktail when you’re basking in the summer sun by Soleil’s rooftop pool. Thankfully, Soleil’s master mixers have crafted a potion that will keep you feeling cool and looking Christmassy with its vibrant red and green hues. The Scarborough Fair consists of gin, lime, rosemary infused syrup, egg white, olive brine and a dash of bitters. Regatta Hotel | Toowong Run! Run! As fast as your can, because you’ll sure as sugar want to get your hands on the Regatta’s Gingerbread Man. With spiced rum, pumpkin spice, butterscotch and cinnamon, you’ll be feeling festive from your taste buds to your toes! But don’t stop there, Merle’s Bar is also offering a deliciously creamy Christmas rum punch with spiced rum, butterscotch and white cacao. Canvas | Woolloongabba It doesn’t matter if you’ve been naughty or nice this year, Santa certainly won’t be checking his list twice once he comes across the Bad Santa at Canvas. Designed by their truly gin-spirational award-winning bartenders, this cocktail includes rum, black walnut liquor, Pedro Ximinez and dark chocolate cacao. When it’s garnished with a toasted fruitcake crumb and mistletoe, how could you say no? Spaghetti House | South Brisbane Buon Natale from the clever creators of mouth-watering farfalle! While you’re indulging in some Ragu Alla Bolognese, we definitely recommend you give their Gingerbread Cappuccino Martini a twirl. A potent mix of gingerbread, Kahlua, Baileys, vodka and a shot of espresso, mama mia, is it ever delicious! Cuvee Lounge Bar | Brisbane On the third day of Christmas, our true loves (the magical bartenders at Cuvee Lounge) gave to us three sensationally scrumptious Christmas cocktails! The Fat-Washed Old Fashioned combines rum with Christmas spice infused butter, ginger ale and bitters. Another rummy sip, the Boilermaker 7 blends rum Cointreau, vanilla, James Squire Amber Ale, star anise and burnt orange while alluring Maple Embassy comprises of brandy, rum, maple syrup, lemon juice, nutmeg and a maple glazed lemon wheel garnish. Sign us up for one of each! The Junk Bar | Ashgrove It’s time to eat, drink and be cherry at the very funky Ashgrove Junk Bar. Pretend you’re celebrating Christmas in the 20s and request the Junk Cherry from the wonderful barkeep. With Chambord, vanilla Galliano, cream, fresh orange and morello cherries, you’ll be feeling festive from head to mistletoe! Riverbar | CBD Feeling a bit silly after all that Christmas shopping? A few of Riverbar’s Silly Season Sours will have you set to rights in no time at all. A tart concoction of cinnamon infused pisco, peach liqueur, almond, egg white and bitters, served up with a little umbrella.
