Whether you’re a fan of throwing pineapples or just throwing back tinnies, we’ve scoured Brisbane to find the best of the best. So, gather your mates, organise your outfits and prepare your hangover kit – it’s going to be a big one! JANUARY 25th The night before. It begins. Ready your body, but just don’t party too hard – this is a marathon – not a sprint, and we’ve got three days to go!
GINUARY | COVENT GARDEN | WEST END
From 6pm Covent Garden is starting your long weekend off right with a spectacular cocktail event – Ginuary. Set in Brisbane’s best gin garden, sip on Archie Rose Signature Dry Gin cocktails and nibble on gincredible canapes including smoked salmon, manchego profiteroles and pork dumplings. PIG ‘N’ WHISTLE | FORTITUDE VALLEY
Not into gin? Spritz into your long weekend at Pig ‘N’ Whistle Brunswick street with an Aperol Spritz themed beer garden. Pig out on cheese platter and charcuterie specials and boogie to live music from 6-930pm. JANUARY 26TH Australia Day. The public holiday, and for those lucky enough to get paid leave (soz hospo) – this is your time to party when you should be working. Gird your loins boys and girls, we’re in for a big one.

Lamb on a spit, ice cold beers and prawn buckets – let’s be real, you had us at lamb. For a feast that would make Sam Kekovich jealous, duck into Newstead and get ready for a day of full blown festivities at Defiant Duck. Fancy yourself a bit of an athlete? Consider yourself competitive? Want to throw your chance into the ring?
