Paradise comes to The Euro

  • Food & Booze
Well-known and much-loved fine dining establishment The Euro usually offers up European inspired feeds that make use of fresh Australian ingredients. But they’re changing things up for a night, delivering a little taste of paradise to Brisbane on Thursday the 26th of March. A Taste of Paradise from famed Balinese dining destination Ku De Ta, to be exact. Ku De Ta’s chef extraordinaire Ben Cross is taking over the The Euro’s kitchen for the night, taking a break from one of Indonesia’s most iconic holiday destinations (talk about an anti-holiday) to put together a 6 course menu exclusive for the venue’s Taste of Paradise dinner. With cocktails, wines and other surprises to match (we’re thinking the edible kind) and the smooth sounds of Ku De Ta’s latest tunes, you’re in for a real Balinese experience right here in Brisbane. We all know that Bali is a paradise known for its delightful tropical cuisine as well as decadent cocktails (and those beaches that have us flying over in droves) and Ku De Ta is among Bali’s best with culinary offerings inspired by local flavours and global influences. An idyllic dining experience, complete with a beachfront view, make it pretty much heaven in the eyes of the tourists who flock there (though we’d probably be avoiding the beach and sticking to the food). The Mejekawi tasting kitchen and laboratory (food or science?), is Ku De Ta’ pride and joy, taking cuisine to another level with renowned chef Ben Cross leading the way (the way to yum!). Mejekawi showcases Balinese ingredients with innovative and creative cuisine concepts (aka super fancy and delicious) and while it might usually be too far away for a dinner date, you can sample their fare right here in Brisbane at Taste of Paradise. You might not get the view, but you’ll certainly get to indulge in all the innovative fare they’re so well-known for, in six course of exquisite nosh. We can’t wait to get a piece of the action and figure you can’t either, so say goodbye to Brisbane and hello to paradise for $170 per person at the 6.30pm or 7.30pm seatings on Thursday the 26th of March. Call The Euro on (07) 3229 3686 to get in on the action. Words by Typhanee Vayro
