One of our fave dining spots has moved to a chic new home!

  • Food & Booze
If you’ve happened to drive past Delfina’s Bistro in recent weeks and seen closed doors, don’t worry that one of your fave Fortitude Valley restaurants is no longer there for your Sunday breakfasts, date night dinners and creative evening cocktails. Just turn your head to the other side of Ann Street, and you’ll spot them in their new location underneath the boutique Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments! Looking more suave than ever before, Delfina’s has used the move to give themselves a makeover, with a sleek and sexy new fit out to match their new location. Plush grey seating, dark timber floors and industrial chic hanging lights all come together to create a glam setting for any occasion. delfinas-2But of course, you’re probably interested in whether they’ll be dishing up the same amazing feeds. Well don’t worry, because they’ve kept plenty of their menu favourites, and added a few new reasons to stop by for a meal (not that you needed another excuse, right?). For breakfast, drop in for sweet French toast topped with saffron poached pineapple, blueberries, cottage cheese and honey, or something lighter like the smashed avocado on sourdough with dukkah and labneh balls. If breakfast just isn’t breakfast without bacon, we’d suggest the pumpkin fritters with bourbon glazed bacon and tomato relish. You can even get Delfina’s famous twice-cooked potatoes on the side! Best of all, those breakfasts come with some sweet mid morning libations, including boozy coffee, mimosas topped with citrus sorbet and the maple bacon smash we were so fond of already – not to mention three versions of the classic Bloody Mary! delfinas-3 You’ll want to go straight back for dinner though, and not just to see what the evening cocktail list shakes up. Start with delicate dishes like the ocean trout pastrami with cauliflower panna cotta, and then move onto to either large plates to keep all to yourself, like their crispy skinned duck breast, or shared feasts like slow cooked lamb shoulder and seafood paella to pair with sides. If you want to make an occasion of it and stay the night at Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments (anniversary plans, anyone?), you can even get a few of Delfina’s favourite dishes through room service, with gourmet picnic and BBQ hampers to take up to the rooftop pool. So whether you’ve already been introduced to Delfina’s Bistro or not, you’ll want to check out their new location at 959 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, with the restaurant open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
