Noosa International Food and Wine Festival to fire up this May

  • Food & Booze
Food and wine aren’t the only draw cards to this year’s Noosa International Food and Wine Festival.  The musical line-up and ‘party atmosphere’ also on the festival program sound to us like a welcome invitation to party all night and eat all day at the premiere event. Now in its 11th year, the festival will bring the best of Australian and international food and wine to our iconic Noosa for a four day celebration from May 15-18. And what a celebration it will be!  Over 80 of Australia’s best wine makers and tasters, along with some Italian sommeliers, will be there providing wine master classes (and tastings of course).  Star chefs making an appearance for cooking demonstrations include Neil Perry and Adriano Zumbo (you know what that means – sweeties!) and individual sessions over the weekend will cover everything from sake and cocktail matched degustations to champagne breakfasts and food trails through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. As if that wasn’t enough, the evening activities on the festival program add to a long list of reasons to head to Noosa for the weekend. You’ll definitely need your dancing shoes – there’s a different musical event on every night.   A sixties beach party complete with retro barbecue food and Beach Boyz cover band is just one of the affairs planned.  After all those good vibrations that champagne breakfast on Sunday morning might be just thing to fix sore heads before Monday comes around. Food, wine, music and Sunshine Coast beaches – it’s a pretty epic combination right?  Head along to the website to snag yourself some tickets and find a full program if you agree.
