Aussies are known for our love of exquisite international cuisines and classic Italian fare would be high on most lists! Now, South Bank has a new Italian eatery to cater to our love of all things Italiano: Nonna’s Pizza & Deli!

From the group who brought us Olé, Mucho Mexicano and Downtown Istanbul, Nonna’s is a modern but elegant eatery serving up Italian flavours for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days.

Breakfast includes tasty takes on classics like the Sardinian Benedict with free-range poached eggs, mint and pea crush and spiced hollandaise on sourdough, or Nonna’s breakfast bun with a fried egg, middle bacon, pork and fennel sausage patty, hash brown, provolone and barbecue sauce on a brioche bun.

Come midday onwards, Nonna’s provides guests with an ideal setting for shared meals with family and friends, including wood-fired pizzas, hearty mains made for feeding a few, and irresistible sides to complement everything.

Boasting home-style items such as osso bucco on saffron risotto with gremolata, lamb shoulder on garlic mash with steamed greens and lamb jus, and roasted baby beetroot with goats curd, radicchio and walnut and honey vinaigrette, the Nonna’s team might truly be serving up Italian cuisine made with enough heart to match your own Nonna’s classics… 

Guests can also expect an alluring collection of signature cocktails including spritzes, Negronis and nostalgic Garibaldi Martinis for pairing with snack items like charcuterie boards, gnocco fritto with San Daniele prosciutto and straciatella, and crumbed olives with aoili.
