Mr Bengel hits the Gold Coast

  • Food & Booze
It’s 7AM. You slept through your alarm, traffic is terrible, and you forgot about your ten page report that’s due in exactly three hours. Don’t worry, we’ve got something that will make your day a little better. A new caffeine-filled café has just opened that will help you get through that morning grind with the best new grinds on the Gold Coast. On Monday the doors to Palm Beach’s new neighbourhood espresso café opened, and boy, have they coming out swinging. This new little gem is here to help turn your good day into a brew-tiful one with delicious coffee, and tasty meals – all at an affordable price. Their breakfast menu is filled with the dishes we all know and love to make that 7AM pre-coffee decision a little easier. With goodies like the buckwheat banana pancakes, pork and fennel sausage with scrambled eggs and sourdough toast, and the classic eggs benny, Mr Bengel abides by the motto ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. If you’ve made it through to your lunch break without coffee, you deserve a medal… and a burger. Luckily, they will be dishing up the most succulent, flavoursome wagyu beef burger you’ll ever bite into. And what’s an espresso bar without some coffee? Mr Bengel is the perfect place to espresso your love of coffee with delicious and much loved Supreme Roasters coffee on offer. Sip on a steaming mug that will get you hot under the collar, then cool down with one of their cold drip masterpieces. Also on the drinks menu is plenty of tea-riffic teas, cold pressed juices and smoothies that will give you the chills at how good they are. What’s more, Mr Bengel has planted his caffeine-based roots beachside and just off the Gold Coast Highway. So whether you’re just coming in from a swim, or need a break from the highway traffic, this fun and relaxed café is the perfect rest stop. There’s plenty of chances for you to get your espresso on with the café brewing and cooking from 6am to 2pm seven days a week. We suggest you try it out, because we love this café a latte!
