Miss Bliss hits James Street

  • Food & Booze
Following a seemingly endless string of public holidays and all the over eating (and over drinking) that went with it, we could all use a bit of a detox. Luckily, Miss Bliss Whole Foods Kitchen has taken over a shipping container on James Street just in time to help us compensate for a heroic intake of chocolate, ANZAC biscuits and beer. Nestled beside Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers and Acai Brothers, this joint will be dishing out nutritious nibbles that are as delicious and guilt-free as its West End counterpart. With an emphasis on grab-and-go meals that will help you avoid snacking on lollies in the office, the Miss Bliss Pantry is open from 6:30am to 3pm during the week and from 7am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Skip that stale muesli bar and start your day right with a breakfast pot with nutmeg, fig and bircher muesli or house made banana bread with smoked almond butter. And for lunch, take your pick from their sumptuous selection of handmade wraps, fresh soups, salads and takeaway poke bowls. Who said eating healthy had to be boring? So get eating Brisbane! Your body might be a bit shocked to be fed something other than wine, but this is just the wholesome fix it needs. Words by Georgia Casey
