Clear your weekend and give up on the Paleo diet (it was never going to last babe), we’re readying our bodies for the mouth-watering carb fest that is Mediterraneo.

Parting the seas of mediocre dining, Mediterraneo is coming in hot and dangerous to the Brisbane dining scene. The recently opened West End restaurant is spicing up the south side with its extensive European/Middle Eastern menu – allowing us to travel from the French Rivera, Amalfi Coast and Greek Islands without ever being too far from the great brown snake. Inspired by the relaxed Medterrianian lifestyle, Mediterraneo is an absolute smorgasbord of international cuisines and can cater to even the fussiest, indecisive of diners with cuisine ranging from Italy to Istanbul.

Snack on Greek tapas like lamb kofta and souvlaki smothered in tzatziki, graze on marinated Moroccan chicken, dips and mezze plates and gorge yourself on mushroom crostini, tabbouleh and artichoke dip.

Feeling fiercely feasty? Get ready to drool over piles of creamy pastas, moreish seafood dishes and tantalising tagines. Zesty!

And if you’re more of an early bird that a night owl there’s a worm for you too with the café opening from 6.30am with pastries, light snacks, sandwiches and sweet, delicious coffee.

Just practise up on your French, Italian, Greek and Arabic – you’re not going to want to miss a thing!
