In the lead up to this year’s epic Greek fest, world-renowned chef Dimitris Katrivesis is gracing Brisbane with one week’s worth of cultural cuisine at Nostimo. From May 14-19, daily lunch and dinner specials curated by Katrivesis will be up for grabs, with exclusive dinner events including a signature degustation dinner, and Brisbane’s first ever Greek yum cha! For the Love of Riesling Autumn Harvest | Osbourne Hotel | Fortitude Valley
Harvestlujah! To wrap up Osbourne Hotel’s month-long For the Love of Riesling extravaganza, an Autumn Harvest will sweep through with riesling and yum cha aplenty on May 19. Be there from 11am to be greeted by a tall drink of Leo Buring riesling, and if you so choose to get around the yum cha package, a tasting basket with pork belly bao, vegetarian nasi goreng, duck spring rolls, and chicken karaage alongside ten wine tasting tokens await. Of course, the option to nab general entry tickets exist, which won’t leave you high and dry (hello five wine tasting tokens). Diamond Full Moon Party | Jade Buddha | Eagle Street Pier
“Sparkle, sparkle”. Jade Buddha’s Diamond Full Moon Party will be in full swing come May 18! From 6pm-8pm, brace your belly for two golden hours of unlimited wines, beers, bottomless tap cocktails, and canapés, all in celebration of May’s full moon. Besides epic eats and live DJ beats, the opportunity to win $7,000 on the night will give you an extra excuse to get on the ‘gram. A celebration dedicated to our wine and saviour of the mulled variety will see six flavours take to the pot – original, apple pie, cherry, chilli chocolate, sticky date, and mulled wine cider (yessss).
