Market stall of the week: Little Prague Delights

Czech it out, there’s a new sweetheart on the block ready to tantalise your tastebuds and delight your soul! Petra of Little Prague Delights knows that there’s no better way to connect people than with delicious food cooked with passion, and thus she decided to create this fabulous little stall that celebrates her Czech heritage and love of baking, and it really takes the cake. Now, it’s no secret that Brisbane-dwellers have one heck of a sweet tooth with bakeries and cakeries on every second street corner (you donut want to know how many treats we consume in a week!) but there’s something about Little Prague Delights’ cupcakes that makes them rise above the rest. The Eastern European flavours create an alluring temptation of sweetness, spice, texture, flavour, colour and structure – with one bite there is an explosion of flavour and you just have to explore it! Petra believes that no one should ever have to miss out on the delicious part of a celebration and goes the extra mile to always have a mouthwatering selection of vegan and gluten free cupcakes available. But unlike the typically ‘everything-free’ flakey-cakes on offer at sweet shops, you’ll hardly be able to tell the plant-based ‘nicing’ from the buttercream icing as it swirls above the caramel cheesecake cupcakes! We’re not baking it up; these little cakes are positively divine! Try one for yourself each Friday and Saturday night at the Eat Street Markets. Can’t wait that long? Never fear, Petra also runs an online site that accepts catering orders for baby showers, birthday parties, corporate functions and more. When they’re baked fresh daily, how could you say no?
