Brewsvegas 2020 | Various Locations
We’re so ready for a seventh year of cold, frothy goodness! That’s right, Brewsvegas is back and better than ever in 2020, stretching itself across 10 days and bringing in over 100 events at 60 of Brisbane’s best sipping spots. Kicking off with an epic launch party on March 12, we guarantee the brewskis will just keep coming! Obviously, the events we are most excited about fall into the “Beer Loves Food” category – with everything from an 11-course beer-matched degustation to a day devoted to beer, BBQ and donuts. What if we told you that you could go to Cuba and back without even living Brisbane’s riverside? Riverbar and Kitchen is making it happen with their March pop-up, Cuban Nights! The fresh menu features exotic bites like fried plantains with mojito dip (heck yeah) and a classic Cubano sandwich loaded with smoked ham, pulled pork, Swiss, pickle and mustard, and Cuban-inspired cocktails like the frozen pineapple apricot daiquiri. Oh, and the best part – every Saturday from 4pm to 5pm, hit up their free salsa dancing class and shake what your Mamacita gave you!
Things are looking rosy at the iconic Osbourne Hotel, with the dedicated pink cocktail menu proving as yummy as it is pretty. Sips like the Strawberry pink reviver and the Pinkshake will be available until March 7, when the pink party wraps up with another of the Osbourne’s deliciously boozy brunches. Think ever-flowing gin, rosé, and sparkling, as well as a tasty brunch menu, and an Insta-worthy pink theme. Gather the squad and get your tickets here before they sell out.

After the success of their epic summer specials, the team La Macelleria are keeping the fun times coming at their four locations across Brisbane, scooping the wicked flavour for the whole month of March. Using brews from the award-winning local brewery, the stout-soaked savoiardi biscuits make this seasonal special the perfect bittersweet treat, and a very mod take on the classic Italian tiramisu.
MOULD: A Cheese Festival | Brisbane Showgrounds
For four cheesey days, the very best artisan cheesemakers from across Australia will gather to satisfy the taste buds of all dairy enthusiasts. Boasting a full food program served alongside a wide range of wines, whiskeys, beers and ciders, this is one that can’t be missed, Brisbane! Get in quick, this oozy, boozy festival is close to selling out for a second year in a row!
While we are proud Queenslanders to the very core, we are more than happy to wrap our smackers around New South Wales’ freshest oyster and hottest brews at Newstead Brewing Co.’s Shucks event on March 14. Sip on beers from New England Brewing Company, Wayward Brewing Company and The Welder’s Dog Brewery, alongside freshly shucked Pacific and rock oysters all day long! The collaboration will kick off from 10am till late, with a live shucker onsite between 11am and 2pm.
