Having won the award for Queensland’s Best New Restaurant two years in a row, The Foraging Quail is definitely worth more than just a forage.

Their shared degustation menus range from 4 to 9 courses, and are carefully crafted by Chef Minh Le, who turns standard contemporary fare into a magical dining experience with locally sourced, organic and sustainable produce. There are menus for the herbivores, featuring items such as the mushroom forest with confit garlic, truffle mayonnaise, peas and wattle seeds, and the delicious nine textures of chocolate, with peanut butter and moss log.

For the omnivores out there, seasonal dishes like saltbush lamb with carrot puree, young vegetables, and Thai eggplant are just one of 9 courses that will have you dreaming about them for weeks.
